Déjà vu…

…or why you should VOTE (AGAIN) AGAINST Resolution 2 on Written procedure at the upcoming AGM!

As science fiction memes go, especially those inspired by The Matrix, I must admit that I have seen much, much worse.

I’m of course referring to the APEEEs proposal for the next AGM to introduce in the statutes a possibility that the APEEE board takes decisions through a written procedure. What makes it such an extraordinary Déjà vu moment is that an almost identical version of this resolution had been tabled at last year’s AGM, but the required 2/3 majority of APEEE Class Representatives did not support this resolution. Fast forward one year, and here it is again! You should ask yourself why. Continue reading Déjà vu…

UPDATE December 3, 2021:

There is a follow-up to this post.

Regular readers of this blog will surely remember the post on the curious case of the missing minutes. Where is our EGM?

Yes, APEEE Board, where is our Extraordinary General Meeting?

Before anything I must admit something… I almost gave this title to this post: The curious case of the missing EGM… But then I thought I should not challenge yet again Saint Anthony, the patron Saint of missing things. He has already been so kind to find the missing bus monitors last June and I’m sure that after a good and well deserved summer vacation,  he is now a bit rusty on finding stuff!!! 😇 Continue reading Where is our EGM?

Who is the CEO of the school?

On the unusually sunny morning of 23 May 2021, The Woluwe Diaries bumped into a rather curious tweet (English translation). As knowledgeable as these Diaries are about how the Woluwe EEB2 parents association (APEEE) tends to operate, I thought it would be helpful to put this tweet into some context. This should be a wake up call to the entire parents community.

Below you will find a Q&A that tries to shed some light on this letter.  Now, without further ado, please read on. Continue reading Who is the CEO of the school?

The curious case of the missing minutes…

UPDATE October 26, 2021:

There is a follow-up to this post.

Those who still remember the long gone month of November 2020, may also recall the rather unfortunate events that went on at the EEB2 APEEE Extraordinary Board meeting that took place on the 4th of that month.

If you don’t remember… then, tough luck! I say “tough luck” because the minutes of that meeting have disappeared from the website of our association.
